As a nationally recognized speaker and expert in mergers & acquisitions, Bob has over thirty-six years of experience and has originated and executed hundreds of investment banking assignments for middle market companies and their shareholders. Prior to founding XLCS Partners, Bob was a Partner and Board Member of a national investment banking firm and was previously affiliated with one of the largest middle market investment banking firms in the United States. Bob holds FINRA Series 62, Series 63 and Series 79 licenses.
Joe Contaldo is a partner and co-founder of XLCS Partners. As a career-long Investment Banker, Joe began his Investment Banking career as an intern for a national investment banking firm before joining the company full time as an associate in 2002. He was then promoted to Acquisition Services Director and was tapped to develop and run the firm’s Private Equity Coverage Group. In 2007, he was promoted to Managing Director, becoming the youngest to reach that position in the firm’s history. Joe holds FINRA Series 7, Series 79 and Series 63 licenses.
Prior to co-founding XLCS Partners, Anthony served as Managing Director for a national investment banking firm which he joined as an intern in 2002. Anthony has led seller advisory and buyer advisory assignments for clients in a broad range of industries across the United States. Anthony served as a Principal for his predecessor firm’s FINRA registered broker-dealer. Anthony received his BA. in Finance, magna cum laude, from Elmhurst College. Anthony holds FINRA Series 7, Series 79, Series 63 and 24 licenses.
John Sheridan is a highly experienced M&A professional with over 20 years in the industry. He is responsible for originating and executing middle market advisory agreements as well as capital raises involving senior debt, subordinated debt and equity investments. John has worked in a wide variety of industries with clients located across North America. Prior to investment banking, John was the Vice President of Finance and Treasurer for a middle-market holding company and worked as a financial analyst for a Fortune 500 company. John holds FINRA Series 7, Series 79 and Series 63 licenses.
Andrew Sannes is a seasoned M&A professional with over 15 years of experience advising companies ranging from Fortune 500 to lower-middle market on mergers and acquisitions, securities, leveraged buyouts and recapitalization strategies. Prior to XLCS Partners, Andrew was a Director of the Chicago office of a national investment banking firm and co-founder of a mobile e-commerce company. Prior to that, Andrew was a Managing Director of an independent sponsor focused on the acquisition of troubled bank assets and was previously an M&A attorney counseling on over $3B in M&A transactions. Andrew received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and his Juris Doctor degree from The John Marshall Law School. He holds FINRA Series 79 and Series 63 licenses.
Brian has been involved in over 100 transactions totaling approximately $5B in value over the last 25 years. Prior to XLCS, Brian led the investment efforts for a Chicago-based family office and was a Managing Director with a private equity firm. Prior to that, Brian was a Managing Director with Headwaters MB and led investment banking groups at Howe Barnes Hoefer & Arnett (Raymond James) and at Bank One Capital Markets (First Chicago Corp. and American National Bank) and held positions with KPMG and Price Waterhouse. Brian received an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BA from Augustana College and holds FINRA Series 79 and Series 63 licenses.
Patrick W. Warren
Patrick Warren leads the firm’s private equity sponsor coverage efforts by sourcing and executing sell-side M&A advisory and other corporate finance assignments. Prior to XLCS, Patrick worked at BB&T Capital Markets and Fifth Third Securities, where he served as a Principal in their Investment Banking Group. Prior to his four years with BB&T, Patrick was a Vice President at Belhealth Investment Partners. He began his career as an investment banking analyst at KPMG, and as an associate at Harren Equity Partners. Throughout his 15 year career in investment banking and private equity, he has completed more than 40 M&A and corporate finance advisory assignments. Patrick earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia in finance and management, and holds FINRA Series 79 & 63 licenses.
Jay Cremer joined XLCS Partners as an Associate after a period of time as an Analyst at a national middle market investment banking firm. Prior to Investment Banking, Jay was a corporate accountant at Meggitt Piezo Technologies. Jay received his undergraduate degree in finance and economics and an MBA from Indiana University. Jay holds FINRA Series 79 and Series 63 licenses.
Owen Moore joined XLCS Partners as an Analyst in 2018. Before joining XLCS, Owen was a financial analyst at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. Owen received his undergraduate degree with Honors from the University of Chicago in Public Policy Studies and was a member of the Trott Business Program.
